Even with the introduction of HMOs, PPOs and value-based contracts over the years, the cost of employer-sponsored insurance plans also continues to rise.

Read MoreThe Early Years: Never-Ending Summer
Amanda grew up in Syracuse, New York with her little brother, Logan. They're closer than most siblings after spending their entire childhood together, and Amanda considers Logan one of her best friends. Summer is Amanda's favorite season, and the pair would fill their days with sports or swim together at the community pool. But like most older siblings, Amanda soon left for college, ready to pursue her next adventure.
What we know about Amanda: Putting Down Roots
After graduating from Ithaca College with a degree in Television-Radio and Digital Marketing, Amanda felt the job market in Upstate New York looked slim. She applied to jobs up and down the East Coast before landing a position in Baltimore. Even though she only had one friend in the area, she packed up, moved, and never looked back. Since then, she's built a network of friends, started a family with her husband, Brandon, and their daughter, Palmer, and joined our team at EBS!
LAX to the MAX: I played lacrosse for two years in college.
Tap it out. I took dance lessons from age two until graduating high school, and tap is - by far - my favorite form of dance!
No Standing. Only Dancing. My family and I love music, and we have dance parties in the living room on the reg.
More Team MembersEarly Years: A natural sports fan.
Carly was born and raised in Maryland with her younger sister Allie. Though Carly considers herself a NARP (non-athletic regular person), she's dabbled in most sports at one time or another. Luckily, Carly's minimal athleticism hasn't stopped her from enjoying sports. Growing up she went to Baltimore Ravens and Orioles games with her dad and grandfather. She even has an autograph from the Ravens' mascot, Poe!
What we know about Carly: Eat, drink and be rosemary.
After graduating from Towson University with a double major in health care management and business administration, Carly moved to Federal Hill in Baltimore. She spends her time walking around the city trying new restaurants, exploring local bars and shopping with friends. But if she's not out and about, she'll be home watering her many, many houseplants or snuggling her cock-a-tzu dog, Buster.
Fun Facts
Really relishes hotdogs: "When I visited Nashville, I ate a 12-inch-long hotdog served in a chipotle-sized bowl. Hotdogs are my favorite food, and if I could eat one every day, I would."
Happiness in a cup: "I need my caffeine fix every single day. I would even drink an iced coffee in a blizzard - nothing can hold me back from my coffee."
Stilettos anyone? "My first word was "shoe." When I was younger, I was obsessed with shoes - I would always put on everyone's shoes and strut around the house, even when the shoes were five times too big."
More Team MembersEarly Years
Ryan gives new meaning to the title Water Boy. He grew up on Cape Cod where he graduated from Falmouth High School and later, the University of Massachusetts. As a coastal townie, Ryan spent much of his life on the water, boating, fishing, and simply enjoying the peacefulness of the open water. Today, you'll find him chasing around four rambunctious boys - typically on the boat - and still trying to convince his beautiful wife she picked a winner.
What We Know about Ryan:
Charting new courses comes with the territory.
Ryan began his insurance career at as a sales representative for Unum, where he learned the importance of employer sponsored benefits and the impact they have on recruiting and retaining quality employees. The experience formed in him a deep understanding of how underwriters view risk-and how to negotiate a favorable outcome for the client. In 2004, Ryan took this experience to the retail side of the business and started calling on clients directly. Since then, he has consulted with hundreds of clients and built a foundation of success that he shares with his two business partners as they continue to grow presence of EBS in the marketplace.
Sinking Feeling. In High School, an innocent boat ride to a remote island party turned into the sinking of the Sullivan family sailboat. Sorry Mom.
I've never "Paaahked my caaaah in Haaaahvid Yaaaahd." Even though I grew up in Boston.
I deflated Tom Brady's footballs. And I take full responsibility for it.
More Team MembersEarly Years: Layups, fast pitch and spikes, oh my.
Born in Baltimore, Amber grew up as one of four kids and has always been the baby of the family. In high school, she played varsity basketball, softball and volleyball, and she hit the road constantly to play in softball travel tournaments. She later attended Anne Arundel Community College where she was named an All-American shortstop for softball and an All-Region goalkeeper for soccer.
What we know about Amber: Nurses call the shots.
From Anne Arundel Community College, Amber transferred to Guilford College to study nursing and psychology. After graduation, Amber pursued a career as a nurse, which gave her a firsthand understanding of the health insurance industry. Now, she is very excited to be on the EBS team, approaching health insurance from a completely different angle.
Get your game on: As a sports fanatic, I am unsurprisingly very competitive. It's even a race to see who gets the mail first.
Hit or be hit: My husband and I love to play football in the yard with our 10-year-old twin boys. Our 5-year-old daughter especially loves to "tackle" her brothers.
Life's better at the beach: Our family has actually lived in six states in 10 years, but we are finally ready to settle down in Bethany Beach, Delaware.
