Hope Walker

Client Manager

Early Years: Light up the Stage!

Growing up in Hampden in northern Baltimore, Hope's stage presence became obvious at a young age. She sang with her church choir, school choirs, and in school musicals. She even took home the $50 grand prize during a middle school talent show! Her courage to perform for large audiences drove her to audition and win acceptance into the All-County and All-State Choirs, and she even performed at Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. No stage fright here!

What we know about Hope:

Hiking her way to EBS

In the summer, we most often find Hope with her Chocolate Lab fur-baby, Kona, playing at the dog park, hiking mountain trails, or swimming at the beach. Hope says, "I am a summer girl, so you'll find me outside in the warm sun, any chance I get." She certainly loves to enjoy the outdoors, but now that she has hiked her way to EBS, Hope's a ray of sunshine for our team as well!

Fun Facts

Hitting it outta the park: I performed at Oriole Park while singing the National Anthem with the Perry Hall High School Chamber Choir.

This one time, at band camp? I was the Pom Captain for my high school marching band's pom squad, and during practice I was attacked by wild geese.

Rap it out: I can rap every word to Sir Mix-A-Lot's "Baby Got Back."

The Mad Food Scientist: I will eat soup and crabs all year round - soup even in 100-degree weather, and crabs for Christmas. I also like odd food mixtures such as burnt popcorn and ketchup. (No judgement until you try it!)

Taylor Cain

Client Coordinator

Early Years: The Heartbeat of America

Taylor was born in southern Maryland and grew up in Hyattsville. In high school, she was on the field hockey and lacrosse teams and also played violin in the school orchestra. Taylor?s parents instilled in her an appreciation of classic cars, and they love going to car shows together. Her parents own a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS, a 1964 Pontiac LeMans and a 1953 Ford F-100 truck that belonged to her grandfather.

What we know about Taylor: It?s okay, she?s with the band.

Living in College Park, Maryland, Taylor and her boyfriend have two snakes, Noodle and Nash, a bluetick coon hound, Goose, and a Chesapeake Bay retriever, Paisley. Taylor is obsessed with her dogs and takes them everywhere. When they?re not out hiking with the pups, we can count on Taylor and her boyfriend to be at a concert. Taylor has the best luck at winning concert tickets, and in 2020, she won tickets to four different concerts and got to meet the artists! She met Hardy, Michael Ray, Adam Doleac and her favorite group, Midland.

Fun Facts

Saxy and we know it: I know how to play four instruments. I play the piano, guitar and saxophone, but my favorite instrument is the violin.

House Party! I?ve danced with Sam Hunt!! My friend got VIP tickets to Sunday in the Country, and he came over and danced with us during his set!

#ALLCAPS all the time: I love hockey games, and I am a huge Washington Capitals fan. In 2018, I went to every playoff watch party and home game until they won the Stanley Cup! We even stopped in Nashville for a Capitals vs. Predators game while on a road trip from Texas to Maryland.

Taylor Wood

Marketing Coordinator

Early Years: One big, travel-happy family

Both of Taylor's parents attended Fredonia State, and they met when her dad decided to "love tap" her mom with his car. They went on to have four girls - even though Taylor's dad is the youngest of four boys, Taylor is the oldest, and one of her younger, twin sisters has Down Syndrome. Living in Rochester, New York, their family likes to spend their summers on Canandaigua Lake, and Taylor frequently traveled for weekend lacrosse tournaments. Many tournaments brought her to Maryland, and we're lucky they did! She now lives in Baltimore City with her quarantine puppy, Whiskey.

What we know about Taylor: Just one more scoop

Taylor worked for five years at an ice cream parlor, making her practically a professional ice cream scooper. She then channeled her entrepreneurial spirit into a Bachelor of Science in marketing from Towson University, and she took a marketing class on "Marketing in the Shadows of Bordeaux Vineyards" while studying abroad. As our marketing coordinator at EBS, we appreciate Taylor's well-traveled, marketing background, but most of all we love her ice cream scooping experience!

Fun Facts

Quarantined before it was cool: I was quarantined way before 2020. When I was two years old, I was quarantined for 10 days with an unknown rash. It was later diagnosed as Kawasaki disease.

Let's see those pearly whites! I won best smile in junior and senior high school.

Christmas in November: My due date was supposed to be Christmas Day. I celebrate Christmas for as long as possible every year and start blaring Christmas music on the first day of November!

Rip Friddell

Client Advisor

Early Years: Humanities Help the World

Rip grew up right in Baltimore with his parents and younger sister, and they are huge sports fans for everything Maryland: Orioles, Ravens, and Terrapins. Rip attended the Gilman School where he won the Redmon C. S. Finney Award for promoting diversity and social civility in the student body. After graduating from the University of Richmond as a religious studies major with a focus in the humanities, he went directly to teaching eighth grade English.

What we know about Rip: Che buono!

Ever since he was young, Rip has loved getting together and cooking for family and friends as well as trying out different local restaurants in Baltimore and D.C. His father part-owned a northern Italian restaurant while Rip was in school, and it inspired him to study abroad in Italy and learn Italian. (But really, he just can't get enough of the food.) Rip enjoys reading and learning about new cultures, so we were proud to learn he joined EBS after hearing about our company culture!

Fun Facts

The American Original: Half my family is from Kansas City, and my grandfather was the creator of KC Masterpiece barbeque sauce.

Constant hustle! My family has had Ravens season tickets ever since they moved to Baltimore and started playing at Memorial Stadium.

Less weeds, more green: I love landscaping and working outside. (It's probably my only artistic ability, aside from being a drummer in high school.)
